On August 15, 2022, at approximately 6:48 p.m., deputies responded to a residence within the 15000 block of Pole Pine Point, Black Forest, regarding a disturbance. The residence is within a large gated community called the Black Forest Reserve, an unincorporated community of El Paso County.

On August 7, 2022, at approximately 5:07 PM, a 911 call was transferred from Fort Carson to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) Communications Center. The caller reported a shooting in the 500 Block of Ponderosa Drive.

New K9 Coming to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office

In the coming months the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will be adding a new team member to their K9 Unit after securing sufficient funding. This funding will help the unit to obtain and train a new K9.
