Last Thursday, during a graduation ceremony at Pulpit Rock Church in Colorado Springs, El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal administered the oath of office to 27 members of his inaugural Posse, Class 25-1.

After years of planning, today, El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal led the groundbreaking effort for the future Sheriff’s Office substation in the Falcon area of unincorporated El Paso County.

Today, nearly 40 goats will begin clearing approximately three acres of invasive weeds near the El Paso County Jail.

This morning at the Pioneers Museum in downtown Colorado Springs, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jeremy Juhl, who leads the Mounted Unit, accepted a commemorative token on behalf of Sheriff Joseph Roybal.

On May 24, 2025, at approximately 4:50 a.m., the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting individuals breaking into vehicles in the 2300 block of Klein Place, located in the Cimarron Hills area of unincorporated El Paso County.

As of May 28, 2025, 139 sentenced inmates (post-trial) are currently housed at the El Paso County Jail. These individuals await available bed space within the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC).

Last week, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office proudly hosted the Level I Regional Mounted Unit Academy at the Norris Penrose Event Center in El Paso County, Colorado.

Today, El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal released information regarding individuals who have been transferred to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since January 2025, from the El Paso County Jail.

On May 11, 2025, at approximately 8:06 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting at the Hampton Village Apartments, in the Stratmoor Hills area of unincorporated El Paso County.

On May 21, 2025, at approximately 1:20 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communication Center received a 9-1-1 call from a residence in the 2700 block of Pony Club Lane, located in the Cimarron Hills neighborhood of unincorporated El Paso County.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 11:52 PM, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were alerted by Flock Safety cameras to a stolen vehicle driving eastbound on Platte Avenue near North Murray Boulevard.

On October 19, 2020, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of sexual crimes involving a juvenile at a residence in unincorporated El Paso County. The case was assigned to detectives from the Special Victims Unit (SVU), who launched an extensive and complex investigation.

On May 18, 2025, at approximately 10:52 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Regional Communications Center received a call regarding an adult male walking through a neighborhood in the Security/Widefield area, carrying two large swords and threatening residents.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 5:22 PM, the Monument Police Department responded to a reported family disturbance at a residence located at 42 Front Street in the Town of Monument, Colorado.

This week, law enforcement from the Pikes Peak region and the United States will participate in National Police Week.

On May 12, 2025, at approximately 5:05 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 19000 block of Crows Nest Way, located in the Woodmoor area of unincorporated El Paso County.

Yesterday, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Police Department and the Colorado Department of Transportation, began a restoration project beneath I-25 just north of the Woodmen Road exit.
