On October 20, 2017, at approximately 12:38 am, deputies were on a patrol check in the Fox Run Regional Park, located at 2110 Stella Dr.  Deputies attempted to contact a male and female in a blue Ford Explorer who were in the park after hours.

On October 12, 2017, at approximately 11:30 PM, three suspects exited out of an employee only door at the King Soopers located at 7915 Constitution Avenue in Colorado Springs, CO.  The suspects took three shopping carts full of merchandise without paying, totaling almost $1,600.

Sheriff's Office Files Charges Against Daniel Nations

On September 19, 2017, at approximately 2:44 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a pick-up truck in the Security/ Widefield area. The truck failed to yield to deputies and a short pursuit was initiated. That pursuit was terminated due to high speeds.

The Sheriff's Office is aggressively investigating the homicide of Timothy Watkins.  To date we have received over 150 messages.  We will be following up on every tip that comes in, whether through our Dispatch Center, Tip Line or through our external website.
