El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal issued the following statement after the passage of Proposition 130 in Colorado:

Yesterday, the Board of County Commissioners celebrated Law Enforcement Records Personnel Week by recognizing the extensive, critical work of our Records Unit, and presenting a proclamation in recognition of their work.  

Yesterday, at approximately 11:47 a.m., the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received a call regarding a hit-and-run traffic accident in the parking lot of McDonald’s located at 765 W. Baptist Road in Monument, Colorado.

On October 31, 2024, around 2:20 p.m., the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received multiple reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Cunningham Drive, located in the Security area of unincorporated El Paso County.

Recently, El Paso County Sheriff and Fire Warden Joseph Roybal welcomed the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control’s Firehawk Helicopter and crew to the El Paso County Emergency Services facility in Colorado Springs.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is seeking individuals interested in attending their 2025 Volunteer Wildland Fire Crew Academy.

Detective Marissa Williams of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has been honored as one of the 40 Under 40 Award recipients by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).

Today, during a Board of County Commissioners meeting, El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal presented a Critical Needs Funding request to the Commissioners, requesting additional funding to increase salaries for sworn members of his Office.
