Fleet Services
General Information
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Fleet Services section services and maintains 300 + vehicles currently assigned to the Sheriff’s Office fleet. The vehicles serviced include small trailers and patrol vehicles thru large specialty vehicles such as SWAT’s Lenco Bear, and the Sheriff’s Office Mobile Command Posts. The scope of work performed at Fleet ranges from routine scheduled maintenance, minor and major repairs to preparing new vehicles for service. Fleet personnel are responsible for the installation of light bars, police radios, radars, mobile data computers and installation of all other equipment prior to the vehicle being placed into service. They are also responsible for the decommissioning of units at their end of useful service life.
