On March 12, 2017, at approximately 8:45 AM, the Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a call regarding a possible homicide.  The reporting party stated he located two deceased bodies on the side of Old Pueblo Road, approximately three quarter miles south of Hanover Road, while driving from his residence in Fountain.

Deputies arrived on scene and confirmed that a male and female were lying on the shoulder of the road deceased.

The male victim has been identified as 15 year old Derek Benjamin Greer.  The female victim has been identified as 16 year old Natalie Partida.  The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Derek and Natalie.
