Victims and Suspect in Triple Homicide/Suicide on Loomis Avenue Identified

On February 3, 2021, at approximately 4:58 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of Loomis Avenue at a four-plex complex as callers reported hearing numerous gunshots.

Upon arrival deputies three deceased persons on scene and one adult was transported to a nearby hospital.  On Thursday, February 4, 2021, the victim who was transported to the hospital succumbed to his injuries.

The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified the victims as: 

Pheonix Vigil                  19 YOA

Joseph Viera                    20 YOA

Sylvio Anglada               17 YOA

The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified the suspect as Tristan Griffin, DOB: 2/19/01. The cause and manner of death will be released by the Coroner's Office once they have all the information to make a ruling.   

Photographs of our victims may or may not be released at a later time based on the family's wishes.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Pheonix Vigil, Joseph Viera and Sylvio Anglada.

The Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating this as a Domestic Violence incident.
