Update Sheriff's Office Looking for Suspect in Burglary Case - Considered Dangerous

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Officer is no longer looking for Christopher Lee Liles, DOB 011885.  He has been identified as the suspect involved in an officer involved shooting that occurred earlier today in the 2200 block of Lazy R Lane.  He has been taken into custody. 
 
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is in the early stages of the investigation and is conducting interviews and collecting evidence.  This is an active investigation and updates will be given when possible.  There is no further threat to the community.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Christopher Lee Liles, DOB 011885, who is a suspect sought in several burglaries in the Palmer Lake Area.  On Friday, September 16, 2016, at approximately 1:00 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office encountered the suspect while executing a search warrant in the 5000 block of Whip Trail.  The suspect fled in a stolen vehicle and a pursuit ensued.  The suspect crashed the stolen vehicle near the intersection of Constitution and Murray and fled on foot. 

Mr. Liles is a WM, 6'00 tall, 230lbs, last seen wearing a short sleeve black Chicago Bulls jersey with red logo, blue jeans and black shoes.
