On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at 5:13 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a disturbance at the 5100 block of Lanagan Street in Colorado Springs.  Responding officers encountered an armed suspect who was approaching them and shots were fired.  

The suspect has been identified as Dana Bruce Ott, DOB: 5/08/52, of Colorado Springs.  He is in critical condition at a local hospital.  A photo of Ott is attached to this Media Release.

There were two officers involved and their names will be released by the Colorado Springs Police Department later this week.  The Colorado Springs Police Department is not equipped with body worn cameras at this time and the investigation has revealed their vehicles were not equipped with dash cameras.
