Taekwondo Coach Convicted In El Paso County Sexual Assault Case

In Early 2017, the Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit began an investigation on a Sexual Assault Case involving suspect Glenn Allan Lainfiesta, DOB: 04/02/73.  Mr. Lainfiesta had been working as a sparring coach at the Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo at the Chapel Hills Mall, 1710 Briargate Boulevard in Colorado Springs.

On April 18, 2017, he turned himself into the El Paso County Jail on charges of Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust, Criminal Attempt to Commit Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust and Unlawful Sexual Contact. 
Today, Mr. Lainfiesta was convicted of one felony Criminal Attempt to Commit Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust and one misdemeanor Unlawful Sexual Contact.  He was acquitted of a felony count of Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust. He was remanded into the custody of the El Paso County Jail.  His sentencing will be on May 29, 2018.
