Suspect in the Alison Cantrell Homicide Arrested

On March 15, 2021, at approximately 1:35 PM, our Communications Center dispatched deputies to the intersection of Old Pueblo Road and Midway Ranch Road on a report of a body found.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies discovered a deceased adult female. The victim was identified as Alison Cantrell, 33. We again would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Ms. Cantrell.

Information revealed during this investigation led detectives to track and find the suspect in Grayson County, Texas. The suspect has been identified as Joseph Hunnicutt, DOB: 07/18/1979. Hunnicutt is also known under two other aliases, Justin Bailey and Joseph Sullivan.

On April 29, 2021, he was located and subsequently arrested with the assistance of the Grayson County Sheriff's Office. He is currently being held at the Collin County Jail located in McKinney, Texas, on the charge of First Degree Murder.
