On December 12, 2018, at approximately 9:42 am, deputies were dispatched to a remote area near Balanced Rock Road and Forest Service Road 322, in reference to a suspicious incident. 

Upon arriving on scene, deputies located skeletal remains. The identity of the remains will not be released until positive identification has been made by the Coroner’s Office.  The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Coroner’s Office once they have received all the information to make a ruling.

Currently, we do not feel there is any threat to the community.  Additional information will be provided as the investigation allows.
