Shots Fired on Old Stage Road

On Monday, February, 22, 2016, at approximately 1:17 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reference shots fired on Old Stage Road.  Deputies were dispatched to the call as an “Active Shooter”, and multiple units responded.

Upon arrival, Deputies learned that the reporting party had not been shot at, nor had any weapons been aimed in their direction.  Deputies were able to locate the suspect who admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages while shooting. 

Weapons were recovered from the vehicle and multiple unspent rounds of ammunition were recovered in the roadway.  The suspect was cited for Prohibited Use of a Weapon and Reckless Endangerment.  There were no injuries or damage to any property.
