On October 10, 2019, the Sheriff's Office Rural Enforcement Outreach Team with the assistance from Metro Vice Narcotics Intelligence Unit (Metro VNI) conducted knock and talks on several properties of interest in rural eastern El Paso County. 

A suspect was contacted in the 3800 block of Sengbeil Road and allowed an inspection of the greenhouses.  The suspect had invalid paperwork and alleged that the marijuana was for the sole consumption of a family member.

A Search Warrant was obtained, and 250 vegetative plants were in located the home, as well as 536lbs of refined marijuana. This is the largest seizure of refined marijuana we have had year-to-date.

This is still an active investigation and arrests are pending.
