On March 24, 2022, just before 2:00 AM, a heavy-set white male with long brown hair and a beard and wearing light blue jeans, a dark hoodie, and gray shoes was observed on surveillance video siphoning gasoline from several vehicles parked at the "A Good Mechanic" auto repair business located at 1 Widefield Boulevard in the Security/Widefield area of unincorporated El Paso County.

Also captured on video was the suspect's vehicle described as a 1999-2004 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee that was missing its front bumper, had sun damage/oxidation to its hood, and no attached front license plate.
