Sheriff's Office Seeks Assistance Identifying Auto Break-In Suspect

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is investigating an auto break-in incident that occurred on February 16, 2022 in the late afternoon hours.  The victim's vehicle was parked near the intersection of Lindbergh Road and Schilling Avenue near the Town of Monument in unincorporated El Paso County.

A 20 or 30-something white or Hispanic male with a goatee and wearing glasses, a dark zip-up Under Armour jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes, broke a window on the vehicle and removed the victim's purse.  Over the next approximately one hour the suspect was seen on surveillance cameras at various businesses in the Monument area using the victim's credit cards.  Still images of the suspect and his vehicle, a red Jeep Grand Cherokee, are attached to this media release.
