On Sunday, May 7, 2017, at approximately 1244 PM, The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a parachute accident which occurred approximately a quarter mile south of the 22500 block of Jones Road.

Medical personnel responded and began life-saving efforts, which were unsuccessful. 

The identity of the deceased will not be released until positive identification has been made by the Coroner's Office and the next of kin has been notified.  The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was notified.
