The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has received credible information that Maxwell Garihan may have hitchhiked from Greeley, Colorado to the north end of El Paso County on October 15, 2015.  Garihan is accused of killing Alan Havens and shooting Margaret Temple in the late evening hours of October 15 or the early hours of October 16, 2015.  He was known to hitchhike regularly in the Greeley area and did not have a vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to speak with anyone who may have observed Garihan while he was hitchhiking or provided him transportation.  Anybody who may have seen or interacted with Garihan, or someone matching his description, on October 15, 2015 anywhere between Greeley and Colorado Springs is asked to contact Detective Scott Mackey at 719-390-5555.
