Sheriff's Office Makes Arrests in Falcon High School Social Media Threat

Oct 28, 2016 - 7:20am

On October 7, 2016, the Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer assigned to Falcon High School learned of a threat circulating on social media stating instructions must be followed or teachers, students, principals and even guests would be killed on October 31, 2016.

Through the course of our investigation, were able to track down the source of this threat.  Charges have been filed against the two juveniles responsible.  They have been charged with Interference with School, Faculty or Students of Educational Institutions and Harassment.

We feel there is no longer a valid threat to Falcon High School and would like to remind all parents to be monitoring your children's social media accounts.

We would like to thank Falcon High School and the District 49 Administration for their support and assistance in this investigation.
