On Saturday, December 30, 2017, at approximately 1:08 AM, the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding shots fired in the 1300 block of Marsh Hawk Drive in Security.  Deputies were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, deputies located a female outside of a residence with a gunshot wound. The female was transported to a local hospital and is now in stable condition. 

The suspect, Bradley Benson DOB 11/05/97, was identified as the husband of the victim.  He was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Criminal Justice Center Jail on the charges of Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Menacing – (Felony) W/Deadly Weapon and Prohibited Use of a Weapon.
