On Friday, February 9, 2018, at approximately 4:11 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of North Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs.  When officers arrived on scene, the suspect had barricaded himself inside the home where the call originated.                   

The suspect then came out of the home armed with a weapon and shots were fired.  The suspect was hit and taken to local hospital with non-life threatening wounds.  No officers were injured.

The suspect has been identified as Dennis Caldarelli, DOB: 4/11/67.  He has been booked into the Criminal Justice Center on the charges of Intimidation of a Witness or Victim and False Imprisonment.
