Sheriff's Office Investigating a Car Break-In and Fraud Case

On March 30, 2020, our Communication Center received a report of a Car Break-In and Fraud incident that occurred in the 2500 block of Canada Drive on March 8, 2020.  

The investigation and surveillance footage revealed two suspects entering an unlocked vehicle and stealing various tools, as well as a checkbook.

On March 17, 2020, a suspect cashed a stolen check from the account in the amount of $450.00. This occurred at a bank automated teller machine located at the 3700 block of Bloomington Street.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white 1990-2000’s Jeep Grand Cherokee and is missing the passenger side door molding. The Jeep was parked in front of the address on the street when the suspects entered the unlocked vehicle.

Attached to this media release are still images obtained from the surveillance footage. Any information may prove valuable in solving this case and could consist of things as simple as anyone remembering suspicious vehicles or people they saw in or around the area on the date of this crime.
