On December 26, 2022, just after 10:00am, a resident in the 20000 block of Lockridge Drive called 911 reporting there was a human body in her yard.  This address is in unincorporated El Paso County north of Monument.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a deceased adult male.  Based on evidence at the scene, El Paso County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division personnel responded and took over the investigation.

This is an active investigation.  The El Paso County Coroner's Office will make a final ruling on the cause and manner of death.  Updates will be put out by the Sheriff's Office PIO section as they are available.
