On July 3, 2020, at approximately 1:23 PM, our Communications Center dispatched Monument Police officers to Front Street located in Monument on a Check the Welfare call. Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered a deceased male and a deceased female inside a residence.

Due to the circumstances found, Monument Police Department asked for the assistance of our Investigations Division.  

The identity of the victims will not be released until positive identification has been made by the Coroner's Office and the next of kin has been notified.  

Currently, there is no known threat to the community. Additional information will be provided as the investigation allows.
