On Saturday, June 1, 2019, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado Springs Police Department, in our continued partnership with the Special Olympics, will join forces for the Annual El Paso County Law Enforcement Torch Run.  This event helps raise money and awareness for Special Olympic Athletes.  There will be athletes participating in the run, horses leading the run, and tons of fun.

Participants will leave the Safeway in Manitou Springs located at 3275 West Colorado Avenue at 10:00 AM and proceed down Colorado Avenue to the Colorado Springs Police Operations Center located at Nevada and Rio Grande.  They are expected to arrive at approximately 11:00 AM. 

We would like to invite members of the community and media to show your support along Colorado Avenue beginning at 10:00 AM.

There will be a short ceremony in front of the Police Operations Center at the conclusion of the run.
