On March 12, 2017, at approximately 8:45 AM, the Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a call regarding a possible homicide.  The reporting party stated he located two deceased bodies on the side of Old Pueblo Road, approximately three quarter miles south of Hanover Road, while driving from his residence in Fountain.

Deputies arrived on scene and confirmed that a male and female were lying on the shoulder of the road deceased.

The male victim has been identified as 15 year old Derek Benjamin Greer.  The female victim has been identified as 16 year old Natalie Partita.  The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

In the late evening of March 19, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division booked Gustavo Marquez, DOB: 1/27/98, into the Criminal Justice Center on the charges of First Degree Murder (x2), Kidnapping (x2), Aggravated Robbery (x2) and Child Abuse Resulting in Death.
