Sheriff’s Office Arrests Student in Widefield High School Threat

Sep 20, 2018 - 4:00am

On September 19, 2018, the Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer assigned to Widefield High School was made aware of a student planning a threat to the school.  As a result of our investigation, a student was charged with Inciting Destruction of Life/Property, a Class Six Felony.

We feel there is no longer a valid threat to Widefield High School.  We would like to thank Widefield High School and the School District 3 Administration for their support and assistance in this investigation.

We strongly encourage parents to have a conversation with their children about the seriousness of charges they could be facing should they make a threat towards students, faculty, or school as a whole.
