Mar 28, 2019 - 4:51am

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at approximately 10:00 AM, members of the Sheriff’s Office Rural Enforcement and Outreach Unit (REO), K-9, and SWAT assisted Metro Vice, Narcotics and Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Officials with the execution of a search warrant for illegal cultivation of marijuana at an address in the 18100 block of Sage Crest Road.

During the search of the property, approximately 178 illegal marijuana plants were seized.  Most of the plants were in the flowering stage ready for harvest.  No arrests have been made at this time.  The investigation is open and ongoing.

We would like to thank members of the Colorado Springs Police Department, Metro VNI, DEA, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, K-9 and REO Units for their continued support and collaboration in the ongoing efforts to aggressively target black-market and illegal marijuana grows in El Paso County.
