El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Suspect Involved in Stabbing

On April 26, 2016, at approximately 7:55 AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a stabbing in the 4300 block of Loomis Avenue.  The stabbing occurred as a result of an altercation between two males.  The suspect had left the area on foot.

Multiple deputies responded and began searching the area for the suspect.  Stratmoor Elementary School was put on secure lockdown status as a precautionary measure, and K9 was called to assist with the search.   The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At approximately 9:32 AM, the suspect, Anthony Sid Walker, DOB 12/04/53 was located and taken into custody in the 1400 block of B Street.  Due to the coordinated efforts of Patrol, Special Operations and Pikes Peak Community College, Walker was safely apprehended with no further injuries to anyone.

Mr. Walker was booked into the Criminal Justice Center on charges of Criminal Attempt 2nd Degree Murder and 1st Degree Assault.   A previous booking photo of Mr. Walker is attached to this media release.
