El Paso County Search and Rescue Accepting Applications for 2020 Search and Rescue Training Academy

Are you looking for an exciting and unique opportunity? The El Paso County Search and Rescue is seeking active, enthusiastic citizens in the local area to become new volunteers for one of the best search and rescue crews in the State of Colorado. El Paso County Search and Rescue is a mountain search and rescue unit dedicated to saving lives through search, rescue, and mountain safety education. 

We provide mutual aid assistance to other agencies. Join us and help us to help your neighbor; but most of all, help yourself by becoming a member of our team of dedicated volunteers. 

Applications for new Search & Rescue volunteers will be accepted through July 31, 2020. You must be at least age 21 years of age at time of application submission, you must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, be a resident of El Paso County, possess a valid driver’s license, and all applicants will be subject to a background check.

The new member training class is scheduled to begin on September 14, 2020, with classes held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturday mornings.

Graduation is scheduled for November 18, 2020.
