On February 2, 2024, 33 year-old Marie Lahoff, a Deputy Sheriff with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
 
She is charged with Assault in the Second Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, Menacing, and False Imprisonment, all related to Domestic Violence.
 
Lahoff has been employed with the Sheriff's Office since October 11, 2021 and is assigned to the Detention Security Division. She has been placed on Administrative Leave in accordance with policy.
