Barricaded Suspect Taken into Custody on Noble Street

On December 18, 2019 at approximately 2:30 PM, the Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a call regarding a disturbance in the 6800 block of Noble Street involving a person known to law enforcement with  active warrants to include a violent Felony, Kyle Miller, DOB: 03/21/87.

As Patrol units arrived on scene and set up containment, a deputy witnessed Miller step out of the sliding glass door and was on the phone with someone.  Another deputy who was on scene confirmed he was currently on the phone with Miller. 

Based on the nature of the warrants for Miller's arrest and his refusal to exit the residence, SWAT was paged out and took control of the scene at approximately 4:30 PM.  The Metro Bomb Unit and the Sheriff's Office Crisis Negotiations Unit were also on scene. 

At approximately 8:58 PM, Miller exited the front door and surrendered. 

Miller was booked into the El Paso County Jail on the active warrants for Third-Degree Assault, Criminal Mischief and Second-Degree Kidnapping with Sexual Assault or Robbery.
