Sep 20, 2020 - 3:59am

On September 19, 2020, at approximately 3:58 PM, the Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a Domestic Violence situation occurring in the 14000 block of Clifford Drive located in Peyton, Colorado.

The suspect was later identified as Craig Jackson, DOB: 03/18/1954.

The female caller reported her sister may be in harms way and was being threatened to be killed.

Patrol units arrived on scene and attempted to speak with Jackson. This was not successful however, after Jackson shut the door, a female party was able to escape out of a different door since he was distracted with the deputies. She was immediately provided medical aid.

Patrol deputies established containment. Based on threats made toward law enforcement and his refusal to exit the residence, the Tactical Support Unit was paged out and took control of the scene at approximately 4:30 PM; the Crisis Negotiations Unit was also on scene.

At approximately 7:55 PM, members of the Tactical Support Unit made entry into the home and placed Jackson into custody.  He was taken into custody and transported to the nearest hospital to check for injuries.
