Arrests made in rash of burglaries in the Meridian Ranch and Woodmen Hills Area

The Meridian Ranch and Woodmen Hills areas experienced a large rash of vehicle break-ins on Monday night, October 12, 2015, into Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Vehicles were entered and garage door openers, vehicle registrations, and several firearms were stolen. A silver Honda Odyssey van was also stolen and has not been located thus far.

In the early morning hours on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office contacted two juvenile males at Meridian Road. and Stapleton Road. They were found to be driving a vehicle that had also been stolen from the same area as the previous night’s crime spree.

The males admitted to stealing the vehicle, in which the keys were left inside, and entering other vehicles in the area.  Both juveniles live in the Meridian Ranch and Woodmen Hills neighborhoods and were booked into Spring Creek on multiple charges.  Their names will not be released as they are juveniles.
 
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate all reported cases and is attempting to locate the stolen van and two firearms.
