Arrest Warrant Issued in Shooting on Peterson Road

On September 18, 2019 the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a shooting that occurred at the Maverick Convenience Store located at 2477 Peterson Road.

Investigative efforts have led to the arrest of one of two suspects. The first suspect Nicholas Haiden Daniels DOB 05/08/99 is in custody at the El Paso County Jail on the charges of Second-Degree Kidnapping, First-Degree Assault, and Aggravated Robbery. 

The second suspect has been identified as James Taylor Roberson DOB:12/04/97.  Roberson is not in custody and a Warrant has been issued for his arrest for the charges of Conspiracy, Attempted First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Kidnapping, First-Degree Assault and Aggravated Robbery.  He is described as a White male, 6'0" tall, 150lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

A mug shot of Daniels and a photo of Roberson are attached to this media release.  If anyone has seen Roberson or may know of his whereabouts, please do not approach him and call law enforcement immediately as he should be considered armed and dangerous.
