On January 21, 2020 at approximately 10:10 AM, our Communication Center received a 911 call in reference to a robbery at the 100 block of Fontaine Blvd.  The caller reported a heavy set Hispanic female pulled a knife on an employee at a coffee shop, stole her vehicle keys and then stole the vehicle.  It was reported the same female also pulled a knife on a nearby Food Truck employee.

Deputies responded and attempted to locate the vehicle without success. 

On January 24, 2020 we were notified by Longmont Police Department that the stolen vehicle was recovered and the female suspect in this case was arrested.  Weapons were also found in the recovered vehicle.  

The suspect in this armed robbery has been identified as Maria Carrasco, DOB: 03/02/1993.  The investigation has revealed she is responsible for an additional 4 or 5 robberies between the City of Fountain and the City of Longmont.  Carrasco's mug shot is attached to this press release.
