The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) is sponsoring a unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on August 7, 2018. This event is “National Night Out”, and the “35th Annual National Night Out”.  These events provide a unique opportunity for El Paso County to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police-community crime prevention efforts. Neighborhood Watch groups play a vital role in assisting the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office through joint crime, drug and violence prevention efforts in El Paso County and is supporting “National Night Out 2018” locally. It is essential the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) sponsor this unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on August 7, 2018. It is important that all citizens of El Paso County be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact their participation can have on reducing crime, drugs and violence in El Paso County. Our police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety awareness and cooperation are important themes of the “National Night Out” program.  Multiple neighborhoods have registered. Check with your local Neighborhood Watch groups to see if they are participating.
