Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in Recent Attempted Homicide Investigation

On November 26, 2022, just after 4:30pm, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Section received information from a 911 caller that someone had been shot at an apartment complex located in the 1600 block of Hampton South.  This is in the Stratmoor Valley area of unincorporated El Paso County.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered an adult female victim with a gunshot wound to her head.  She was transported to a local hospital for treatment and survived.  Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division responded and took over the investigation.

Based on their investigation, a suspect was identified as Robert Cadaret, DOB: 04-19-1981 and an arrest warrant was obtained.  On December 9, 2022, Cadaret was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail on the Felony charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, First Degree Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon By a Previous Offender.  His bond was set at $50,000 and he remains in custody at this time.  His booking photo is attached to this media release.
